Sebastiain John Scardino of Providence, RI, originally Buffalo, NY ,passed away on August 18, 2023 at the age of 77. Predeceased by too many - his wife of nearly 40 years, Karen (Sopko) Scardino, his mother, Georgina C. Jewell, his father, Fred J. Scardino, his brother Fred P. Scardino, his sister, Georgina M. Scardino, his brother, Joseph A. Scardino, his brother, Ward S. Scardino and his son, Fred-John Scardino.

He is survived by his brother John H. (Madelyn) Scardino, his brother Ric (James Foster) Scardino, his sister Suzanne Scardino, his sister Toni (Drew) Long, his children Lynn (Rui Fernandes) Cole, Tricia (the late Timothy) O’Neil, Jesse (Stephanie) Scardino, his grandchildren PFC Kristen E. O’Neil, Chelsey S. (Russ) Seager, Tyler A. Scardino, Logan J. Scardino and his new great-granddaughter, Callie A. Seager. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Known to many over the years as Busti, though he went back to Sebastian later in life, he was a hardworking man, working as a manager at such diverse retail enterprises as Howard Johnson’s, car dealerships and Bridgestone/Firestone. He was both a Buffalo Bills fan and an avid NY Mets fan and enjoyed collecting baseball cards over the years. He had a smile and a quip to the end, enchanting friends and family with his banter.
