Patricia Preskitt Obituary

On Tuesday January 18, 2022, Patricia Anne Preskitt passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 99.  

Patricia was born on June 6, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Melvin and Geneivieve Chrisjohn (Chance). Patricia was raised in Ottumwa, Iowa and graduated from Ottumwa Iowa High School in 1940.  

Patricia met her late husband Miles Warren Preskitt in Ottumwa, Iowa, where he was training to be a navel pilot, they married in 1944. In 1944 they welcomed their daughter Judith, and 1946 they welcome their second daughter Jo Marie and they settled in Evanston, Illinois. Patricia and her husband then made their way east to Barrington, RI to be closer to their family.  

Patricia was a trained gemologist; she enjoyed a long career in the jewelry business and worked at Ross Simmons in Barrington for several years. Patricia enjoyed her crossword puzzles each day but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Patricia is survived by her loving granddaughters, Samara Feldman and her husband Stuart, Marisha Riddle and her husband Don and Tatiana Marshall and her husband Robert, additionally she is survived by 6 great grandchildren, Ellie, Seth and Jake Feldman; Sydney Riddle; Preskitt and Oaks Marshall and her son in law, Edward Marecki. She was the mother of the late Judith Marecki and Jo Marie Maxson, and sister of the late Robert Chrisjohn. 

A private burial service for Patricia is scheduled for February 12, 2022, at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
