Joanne Taylor, 82 of Narragansett Ave. Barrington, went to be with her husband Albert on May 11, 2021 which would have been their 64th wedding anniversary.
She was the daughter of Charles J. Piatek and Sophie (Pelzcar) Piatek. Born December 22, 1938 in Pawtucket, RI she spent most of her childhood there. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic School in Central Falls before going on to high school which she was in the first class to graduate from Tolman High (formerly Pawtucket East) in 1956 where she was a member of the RI Honor Society.
She was employed as a secretary for various companies. But her favorite job was when she worked at Meadow Crest Pharmacy in Riverside.
She loved music. She grew up playing the accordion and had a band with her father and husband called The Echo Orchestra where they played at many different types of functions.
The biggest high lite of her life was on February 1, 2020 when she went to see her favorite group IL VOLO. Not only did she have front row seats but she had a VIP ticket to meet them and had her picture taken with them.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Carmone and her husband Matthew of Barrington. Three grandchildren, Alan Carmone and his wife Jennifer of Rumford, Rochelle Santos and her husband Eric of Cumberland, and Geena Carmone of Barrington. She had 7 great grandchildren; Matthew, Jaelyn, Joseph, Symphony, Corrie. Leah and Nathan.
Along with her close family she had three surviving cousins. Janice Kilianski of Scottsdale, AZ, Matthew Piatek of Coventry and Cindy Henkel Marszal of Texas. And many nieces, nephews and friends that loved her dearly.
