James Davey Obituary

James “Ray” Raymond Davey, 85, passed away on May 20, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Brenda (Colaneri) Davey for over 59 years. He was the son of James R. Davey and Emilie (Christiansen). He is survived by his wife Brenda; oldest daughter Denise Eliasz and her partner Henry; son James R. Davey III and his wife Deborah; and grandchildren James R. Davey IV and Alexander James Davey. He is predeceased by daughter Terry Ann Simoes and her husband Joseph; and two sisters, Barbara Temple and Catherine Allard.

Ray served as a member of the Military Police in the United States Army stationed in Hawaii. He retired from a career as a Shipping and Receiving Manager of Evans Findings Company. He was a lifetime member, past president, and secretary of Massasoit Gun Club in Riverside. Ray was also a member of the NRA, an avid hunter, a motorcycle enthusiast, and a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Many of his fondest memories were with family and friends at the Davey home on South Broadway in East Providence, RI.
