Elaine R. Amaral

Elaine R. Kenworthy-Amaral, Age 81, Passed away peacefully at home in Riverside on Friday, January 3rd, 2020 after a courageous, hard fought battle with cancer. Elaine lived life to the fullest, never concerned with monetary value or being materialistic. Her greatest joy in life was sharing her Motherly caring gift of love, kindness and her beautiful smile with everyone who knew her.  If someone was in need, Elaine was the first one there to help. Many times her acts of kindness were anonymous as though she was a "Secret Santa" year round.                                                                                  

Elaine was a people person, she loved being around people, but one person in particular, her youngest sister Dianne Kenworthy was Elaine's shining star who she raised.  Elaine and Dianne were not just sisters, but life long best friends. Inseparable from the moment they became sisters.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Manual (Bob) R. Amaral of Riverside, her son Donald Anderson, son David Anderson and daughter Susan Anderson-La Salle all of Riverside, daughter Donna Giguere of Exeter and daughter Dianne Amaral-Moran of Rehoboth,  her sister and best friend Dianne Kenworthy of Riverside, her sister Leona Winfield of Riverside, her brother who preceded her to Heaven, Wilfred Kenworthy. Her legacy will continue through her cherished 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday January 9, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside, RI 02915. Calling hours will be held on Thursday January 9, 2020 from 8:30-10:00 AM. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, RI 02915.
