Chloe Housley Paulhus Obituary

PAULHUS, CHLOE A. (HOUSLEY) of Rumford, a retired Blue Cross & Blue Shield employee, died December 19, 2020.

 

She was the wife of the late Donald G. Paulhus Sr., whom she was married to for 36 years.

Born, Chloe Anne Duncan, the daughter of the late Charles J. and Alyce (Howard) Duncan of Knoxville, TN.  She had lived in Rhode Island since 1961.

 

Mrs. Paulhus was employed as an Endodontist Assistant and later for Blue Cross & Blue Shield - retiring in 1989.  She was a social member of both the Wannamoisett Country Club and The Providence Art Club.

 

She had lived for her children and grandchildren. She leaves five children, John Housley (Cathren) of East Providence, RI, Joseph Housley of Rehoboth, MA., Melissa McDonald, (the late Stephen), Suzanne Housley Noonan (Jack) and Amy Housley Poland (Randy), all of Barrington, RI.  She leaves a half-brother, Richard Duncan of Knoxville, TN.

 

She leaves five step-children, Patricia Coroso (John) of West Hartford, CT , Donald Paulhus, Jr. (Christine), of Rumford, RI, Timothy Paulhus (Mary) of Naples, FL, Joan Berriman (Edward) of Keene, NH and the late Thomas Paulhus of  North Kingstown, Rhode Island. 

 

Mrs. Paulhus leaves fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

 

Chloe was always genuinely happy and kind to everyone she'd meet.  She was loved and admired by so many and will always be remembered fondly as a person of sterling quality with a heart of gold.

 

A private Funeral and Memorial service will be held at the Smith Mason Funeral Home, Willet Avenue., East Providence.  A private Burial will be held at Mount  Saint Mary's Cemetery, (section 11), Pawtucket, RI.

 

Contributions, in Chloe's memory, to the Barrington Congregational Church, County Road, Barrington, RI, would be appreciated.
