Anita G. (Gamble) Goff, 96, of Barrington RI passed peacefully on March 5, 2023. She was lovingly cared for the last two years by the dedicated staff at the Life Care Center of Attleboro MA. A longtime resident of Barrington, RI, she was married for 53 years to her beloved husband Richard E. Goff Jr. (2001).
Born July 25, 1926 in Woodbury, NJ, Anita was the daughter of Edward H. and M. Gladys (Thornton) Gamble. Anita is survived by her sons Richard E. Goff 3rd (and his wife Kathleen) and Bruce E. Goff (and his wife Kimberly). Anita is remembered as the loving “Nana” to five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Donald E. Gamble.
Anita’s loving, bubbly spirit brought joy into every situation. Prior to her decline in 2015 she was an avid bridge player and enjoyed her gardening hobby and playing golf. Anita was a member of St John’s Episcopal Church in Barrington, Wannamoisett Country Club and the Barrington Women’s Club.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of life service at St John’s Church, County Rd Barrington RI on Saturday March 25 at 11:00am.
