Sheila R. (Ross) Hutton

Sheila R. Hutton (Ross) 90, died Thursday, June 21st  2018 with family by her side.  Sheila was born in Pawtucket, RI, the daughter of the late Robert Ross and Christina Glen Ross and the widow of Russell E Hutton.  She leaves 2 children, Lynne (Robert) Githens and Gordon (Diane) Hutton all of Barrington, 4 grandchildren, Bradford Githens of Colorado, Amanda Brougham of Barrington, Christina Conner of New Hampshire and Laura Hutton of New Hampshire and 8 great grandchildren who brought her much joy.

Sheila had lived permanently in Barrington since 1955 and as a child had spent many happy summers living on Hundred Acre Cove with her family.  She volunteered in town with the Girl Scouts, Barrington Public Schools, Meals on Wheels and Friends of the Library.  She was a member of the Barrington Congregational Church and had served on many committees over the years and was also a member of the Barrington Women’s Club.  Another great joy of hers, other than family, was playing bridge.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday June 29, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Barrington Congregational Church 461 County Road Barrington, RI 02806. Calling hours will be Thursday June 28, 2018 from 5-7 PM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Ave Riverside, RI 02915.
