Gloria E (Barnes) McCagney

Gloria E McCagney of 6 Sunset Drive in Barrington, Rhode Island passed away on Saturday April 6th surrounded by members of her loving family. She was 92.

Born in Providence Rhode Island in 1926 to Milton T. and Florence G.(Carpenter) Barnes, she lived her entire life in Barrington.

Gloria worked for Citizens Bank & Trust Company for 20 years retiring in 1990. She was the loving sister of the late Wallace T. Barnes of Oscoda Michigan, Virginia Stephenson of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and John (Jack) Barnes of Lynchburg, Virginia.  She was the mother of William E. McCagney of Warren, the late Susan A. Bissonnette of Cumberland and the late Richard J Swanson of Riverside.

Gloria was the proud grandmother of 7 and had 8 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Barrington Women's Club. She served as a guide at the Daggett house in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Her funeral service will be Saturday April 13th at 10:00 AM in the Smith Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside Rhode Island.Calling hours will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Prince's Hill Cemetery, Barrington, RI. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Daggett House, c/o Elaine Paquett, 358 Power Road, Pawtucket, RI 02860 in Gloria's memory.
